Hey you out there with nothing better to do than read this shit. Forrest Whitlow is trying to come out of his months long funk and put out a new album. What will it be called? “Click to Black”? “Perfect World”? “Nothing Lasts Forever”? Or ……..maybe “Killers, Perverts and Girlfriends”? What do you think?
Me and the band have been practicing off and on trying to get these songs down. We are working on 15 or so and my head and heart haven’t always been in it. But the mood is coming around again and hopefully by spring of 2003 we’ll have something out.
Meanwhile, we keep playing with different pieces to the band hoping to add some more sound by adding a 4th member but we keep coming back to 3. We’ll see. Our idea is to do this album live and loud. I want these songs to be done raw and real. “oh you said a mouthful there now daddy!” mink!
Check out the upcoming dates on the website and come to a show. Forrest Whitlow and the Crash may be the best 3 piece folk acoustic rock band no one ever cared to listen to. “Well kiss my ass right up to the red!” John, that ones for you. Clem…take some yoga so you can limber up and learn to play another damn instrument…say…with your feet.
Next show is solo this Sunday in Kc at Westport Flea Market (a fave place to play) with songwriters Chad Rex and Doug Luther. Check it out if you are in town. Starts at 9ish. Later. f
