David at the Woody Guthrie Festival, Okemah, OK, 2004, Rocky Road Tavern Open Mic.

July 2003
David insisted on a mug shot for his new CD, Loose Upon The Street, so we turned him into a Monet.

Dec. 2003
Sall and David get along just as well off stage as they do ON stage...most of the time.

David and his lovely daughter, Robin.

Would you believe the tour bus got a flat and the Hilton burned down on the way to Houston?
June, 2001

I think we're in East Texas now.

David plays "Flood of '93" in Houston a week after the flood of '01 to mixed reactions. (6/2001)

David and his brother atop the Galveston, TX sea wall.

David right before he went in the Gulf.

David and John Mitchell head for Chicago to play at Edgar's Place. Won't we all be glad when David stops showing off his new white case?

David with Steve Aultz and Kendra Aultz who run Edgar's Place. Steve is a fine songwriter himself and this duo sound just beautiful together. Steve was playing an old favorite and lost the third verse. Kendra runs and gets a huge 3-ring book with lyrics in it and sits down to play along on her autoharp. Does this sound familiar?

David gets the crowd singing along on In Midtown, at Edgar's Place in Park Forest, IL. (3/2001)

John gives David a rest and the crowd a break from death and disaster with some of his classic funny songs.

Staying the night at Cat Catalani's place on great couches. She is a talented performing songwriter trying to go FULL TIME. Best of luck, Cat.

All packed and ready to return to KC, David can't leave without one last song.

At Cafe Acoutic in St. Joe, MO and a good shot of Betsy, his vintage 10-string Martin guitar.

This is the crowd at the Winfield Songwriters Showcase 2000 where David's song Eyes of Galileo was chosen for the showcase.

This is a snapshot of David at the Kerrville Folk Festival 2000 with his buddy Andy Gibson (the inspiration for Salt & Pepper Days) on the far right and his new friend Larry Lyons in the center.
